Synopsis |
An old Russian proverb states that if the ash berries are red in autumn, winter will be cold and hard. The work shifts from the structure and restraints imposed by the bureaucratic world we inhabit towards a more self-reflective exploration of a personal and spiritual landscape. In this work Nanette was making a comment on the depersonalising effect that bureaucracy has. She incorporated a mobile lighting pyramid which was moved around the stage at various points within the dance. |
