Anton (2009)

Anton started making dance works at age 23 and has had numerous choreographic commissions around the country with companies including Australian Dance Theatre, Dance North and a full length work in 2007 entitled danceTANK produced by the Sydney Opera House. 2009 brought choreographic opportunities with Opera Australia and Tasdance.

Anton has made four dance films which have been shown in the USA, Holland, Italy and New Zealand. Anton received a nomination for REELDANCE Award 2004 and one for an Australian Dance Award 2006. Anton's films were shown as part of Dance Screen in the 2008 Sydney Festival, First Night opening for the 2009 Sydney Festival and at London Southbank Centre in 2009. He has also worked on music videos, directing and choreographing for electronic artists and works screened as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Anton has taught dance at most tertiary institutions around Australia and for Legs on the Wall, Expressions Dance Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Australian Dance Theatre, Opera Australia, the Australian Ballet, Sydney Theatre Company (The Actors Company), Beijing Modern Dance LTDX and Tasdance.

Anton choreographed The Blur for Tasdance in 2009 as part of the Identity season.
